New Millennium

The “New Millennium” was a design and fashion trend during the late 90s. Clothing consisted of reflective grey and black tones (bright colors were also common). Products placed “2000” at the end of their names. Graphic design incorporated dark metallic tones and sharp, “futuristic” typography. This trend became a fad due to the anticipation of the year 2000, aka the “new millennium”.

Watch the “No Scrubs” video by TLC. It’s New Millennium like heck!
New Millennium is like what everyone in the 90s thought the 2000s would be like. Think retro future, what people in the 70s and 80s thought the 90s and 2000s would be like, well without robots, Mars colonies and destructive three-eyed creatures from distant galaxies.
