FMV

FMV, or full motion video, is a type of video game that heavily relied on videos rather then actual gameplay. This was popular around the early 90s with the widespread release of CD-ROM discs and consoles such as the Sega CD and 3DO.

Video game magazines showed the FMV’s in large, full screen caps. In real life, you had to use a magnifying glass to see the videos, cause a 750mb CD couldn’t store large high quality video. Had to be compressed down to a teeny tiny video box. We gamer’s got played.
